Shadow was practically bouncing on his feet as he headed towards the east exit. He wanted to get to a nice, big, open area and just let loose. It was one of those rare occasions where he was thankful for the towering skyscrapers that had become the main building supply of the city. He sighed happily as he finally got out of the stuffy station and breathed in fresh air. He cast his eyes around making sure no one was watching him before running down an alley. It was one of his 'playgrounds' in the city. Pipes and boxes strewn about creating the perfect exircise area. He ran along one of the walls and jumped over to one of the low hanging pipes and just began to jump around the different wall, pipes and boxes.

Taylor ran out of the subway, making sure Livvia was on her heels. This was the part of the job Taylor hated, the physical pursuit. She was much more comfortable behind the controls of a helicopter.
She ran, making sure to keep the runner in her sights, even though he was fast. She kept going, pushing her thin legs to go faster. She was catching up, even though she wasn't able to hurdle like him over the things in her way. She needed to make a decision, and she took it.
She stopped as soon as she was close enough, she stopped, aimed, and fired. She usually had a good aim, but wasn't aiming for him, more like the boxes under his feet that he landed on, and the pipes he grabbed onto, hoping he would fall, giving her a chance.

Since she was older than her, Livvia watched Taylor's quick decisions with admiration. She aimed and shot with a lucid flow from hand to fingers and although the shot did not hit their target, it caused a scene all policemen should be proud of.
A deep shadow filled the streets as a cloud rolled above the two woman; Livvia could hear Taylor's quick breaths and timed them to her own. From their position, it was hard to make out what happened, but Livvia knew they both were hoping for the best.
In the distance, the low buzz of a helicopter was getting closer. Backup was almost there. "That Runner better have fallen," Livvia stated, picking up her pace so she could run alongside Taylor.

The alley was dark, making visibility harder. Taylor ran up to where the Runner had hopefully fallen. She this was where her training really came in handy, assessing the scene.
She could hear no footsteps, only breathing, that meant that the Runner had not gotten away. The alley was full of spaces for the runner to hide, and backup may be close, but it was still just Taylor and Livvia, two women, no matter how strong, may not be enough against a male runner with the advantage given to him in this alley. Backup was still probably a minuted or two away.
Her fingers itched on the trigger. She wondered where she had recognized the guy's name. It bothered her. She gave Livvia hand signs, telling her to back up against the wall, so if the runner was there, their backs would be covered by brick.
Taylor took out her earpeice, signaling Livvia to do the same. Quietly, so no one could hear, she tapped it. "Mitchell, any sign of the suspect?"

“Just darkness,” Livvia replied, pressing her back as close to the wall as it allowed to be pressed into. Being in a stressful situation was not easy for her, heck, it wasn’t easy for anyone; but the absence of the itch her addiction normally caused her was replaced when she was tense. This high, this wonderful high, was what she lived for. “Wait, I think I hear something.”
Ahead of them a shuffling could be heard; whether from the fallen Runner, or something else, Livvia’s heart raced even faster than imaginable. She thought about how simple the day was only a few minutes ago--leaving Verrill for a new life, a new job and even possibly new friends. It’s funny how fast a day can change from so carefree, to devastating.
“Should we wait?” Livvia asked Taylor, knowing she would have better intuition than herself. “Or pursuit?”

"Just wait, backup will be here soon, and that Runner is not going anywhere, I can see the helicopter above us, it will tell us if there is anything out there." Taylor spoke quietly, sneaking through the maze of junk in the alley.
((well I got to go, it is really late, see ya))

Shadow was jumping along boxes when he heard the unmistakable sound of a gun firing. He felt himself tumble forward as the bullet caused the box he was standing on flew from beneath his feet. "Shit!" He swore as he fell face first into the concrete and stood up wincing as he looked down at the swollen skin around his ankle. "Dammit!" He hissed as he began to limp to the exit of the alley, squinting his eyes through the darkness. "Who the hell's there?" He shouted as he saw the silhoutes of two figures. "Who the hell are you!? If you're blues thinking you'll get me back in a cell then think twice shitheads!"

Taylor looked for something, a clue to where the runner was, but she found him, especially when he shouted, cursing at them.
She turned quick, keeping her muscles tense, her gun aimed high. She finally noticed, the runners larger shadow as it tensed up.
"This is the CPF, we have you surrounded, come out with your hands above your head!" She shouted clearly. But now was the time she wished she was in the helicopter that was now hovering above.

Shadow rolled his eyes at the blue's demand and let out a defeated sigh. He was cornered and with his leg twisted he would easily get caught. At least giving up now would save him getting bullets lodged in him. "Fine, I'll come quietly." He hissed slightly as pain lanced up his leg as he limped forward out of the shadow (and he did note the irony of it). He saw the two woman from before in the subway standing with guns pointed at his face, again the familiarity he felt towards the Korean girl struck him again but he shook it off. "Huh, and I thought you two looked like nice gals. My incentive must be getting rusty."

Livvia scoffed, but held back from a retort. Both Taylor and Livvia's radios blared with police-code as Dominic Blackwood crept slowly towards the two. The younger girl thought about moving forward for the arrest, but stayed in her position a little longer, surveying the surroundings.
Her gun was glued to the Runner, as was Taylor's; but she soon lowered her's a slight bit as she recognized the man. "Are you...the Blackwood?" Livvia asked, referring to the earlier years when Verrill was in state of rebellion against the government. She remembered hearing a lot about this fellow and found herself curious. A second later, she mentally slapped herself for asking such a reckless question in their situation.

Shadow smirked slightly at the tone the blue had used when refering to him. "Well well, never realised I had a fanbase." He chuckled slightly and nodded. "Yeah, I'm him, although I do prefer being called Shadow." He knew exactly what she was asking about. For years he had been a notorious protester and solo runner. It was only recently he had made a slip up in one of the protests, usually the attacks were controlled, precise, but the latest raid had gotten out of hand. People had died, both blues and protesters had been clubbed and shot down. He rembered all too well the unfortunate who he had killed with his own hands. "I know you guys have all the reports but I was kinda hoping you wouldn't recognise me, seems I never can get lucky."

Blackwood...Blackwood Taylor ran through her hear, she knew she had known that name in some way. She brushed that thought from her mind and resumed.
"Sorry, I wouldn't call it a fanbase," She exhaled. "now, get on your stomach, hands on your head," She ordered. Then, she rolled her sleeves up to her elbows, revealing the two doves tattooed on her wrist, something she had since she was a teenager.
The runner, catching sight of the tattoo, inhaled sharply, and looked back at her face.

Shadow began kneeling down on the ground but stopped suddenly when he saw the twin dove tattoo on her wrist, taking in a sudden sharp inhale of breath at the nostalgia that welled up inside him. He would recognise them anywhere. "You've definetly changed Taylor." He muttered smiling to himself. "I barely recognised you, but there's no mistaking those doves." He looked up at her with blank eyes, although there was a flicker of sorrow in their depths. "Shame you had to be one of them." Shaking his head he got down the rest of the way and brought his hands up to his head.

Even over the fuzz of the walkie-talkies, Hawkin's tone sounded irritable.
"Aero and Wings, status report." Still in his car, the Captain leaned forward and set his head in his hand, kneading his temples. For a young man he certainly had a lot of cares in the world- having hyped himself up for the chase, he instead had been forced to chase down a reckless speeder and issue a ticket. Mindless grunt work, but he'd be severely reprimanded had he not stepped in.

There, that's who he was. Taylor remembered him now, from High School. Oh those dreaded years.
She was a bit shaken, this just wasn't a good time for old memories. Even though her mind shook, her hands stayed steady, fixed on the runner, that was all he was.
She tapped her walkie-talkie. "Runner is corner, backup is a minute away." She stayed steady, but her voice was still a bit shaky, even over the static of the radio.
